Mountain huts & hiking highlights in Valle di Casies

Few things are more quintessentially South Tyrolean than a mountain hut sitting on a rolling expanse at the foot of the mountains. The mountain pastures are inviting with their traditional stube and sun-drenched terraces. There is no better place to stop for a Marende (a traditional meal consisting of speck, cold cuts and mountain cheese) or to sample local specialities like dumplings, schlutzer and pasta while contemplating the charming view. Many of these mountain huts are within easy reach from our hotel. Once a week, however, we are proud to take you to THE mountain-hut tour par excellence – the one leading to our very own mountain hut! You will be spending pleasurable hours enjoying good company and good food.

The trail then bends more and more to the right and, after a fairly flat section with a slight scramble, climbs a rocky ledge. From here, the trail climbs with a wide curve to the left to the next ledge, where another trail joins from the right. In essence, this is a somewhat strenuous but easy walk to the summit.
